TO STRATEGIZE, MARKET AND SCALE NEW REVENUE STREAMS

CHALLENGE

Everyday Health Group, part of NASDAQ: ZD, wanted to expand their business with new (complementary and adjacent) offerings and thus needed to hire a Chief Growth Officer to help them strategize, launch, optimize and scale these new customer offerings to ultimately drive multiple 8 figure revenue streams. We needed to bring in someone who had experience building the case for and driving the growth strategy for similar new business lines from inception to $50M+ in ARR. Everyday Health Group had been proactively looking to make this hire for about 1 year but now it was imperative that we find and hire this person within the next 3 months.

ACTION

Everyday Health Group had grown extremely well with an amazing team who are all completely invested in the business and the mission. While revenue was growing nicely it was evident that there would be significant opportunity to build out new revenue streams that could each contribute $50M+ in ARR in the coming years. The CEO, GM and VP of HR recognized that if we didn’t act now and bring in this Chief Growth Officer that they would likely miss out on the opportunity to effectively capitalize on these new offerings. We worked together to run this search in a manner ensuring we’d make the best possible hire, within 90 days.

RESULT

Within 3 weeks we had identified and interviewed 4 ideal prospects, ultimately selecting two finalists who not only had the right (+diverse) experience but who perfectly fit Everyday Health Group’s culture, mission and values. We hired their new Chief Growth Officer within 68 days (it was really 54 days as there were 2 vacation weeks where the process was stalled).
